It's time to close the books. But only on summer reading!

We know good reading never ends. But as for the Bright Spot for Reading contest, it's now time to move on. And to declare some winners for a summer well spent.

All Clubs who participated in the contest during the months of July and August are now required to submit their points form. A prize for August's first-place Club ($250) and the overall winner ($500) are up for grabs.

Hey, it's not too late to make more comments, host a last-minute book drive or even have a reading cafe! But they all must be wrapped up by midnight on Aug. 31!

The Denver Broncos' branch of the Metro Denver BGC were the winners for the month of July, with nearly a whopping 2,000 total points to get out to an early overall lead.

Did another Club (BGC of Pueblo of Pojoaque, N.M.) make a final push? Were there other great books out there to be read and added to a Club's final tally?
