Chill: Bye Bye Summer!
Farewell to sunny beaches, but a warm hello to school, football and fall fun as Labor Day sends us off!

An all but official summer farewell! Labor Day, football, marching bands, oh my! OK, Chill has teased it, moaned about it and more. But the calendar still flips toward September and summer is waving goodbye to us all! That's not necessarily a bad thing! For those late hold-outs, school starts or will be starting soon after the holiday. And did we mention football? Chill, like those soon to be falling leaves, is changin' like the weather. Time to work on that fall swag, homies!

School, school! Did we say school? You know we have been all over Back to School like one of Chill's cheap suits! This week, we got our Teen Reporter Jennifer C. on our "military beat" with a story on the unique challenges that teens of military families face with constant school changes. And everyone needs good Back to School advice -- even seniors (to avoid that pesky senioritis!). See what Teen Reporter David M. found out that will help seniors go out in style!

Falling for football! Did we mention football, too? Baseball may be America's pastime, but football is our passion! And the mighty roars and cheers will be back this week for college football all across the country. Plus, high schools have started in a lot of places (and NFL cheers will be coming next weekend)! Few things are as zealous and as heartfelt as the cheers of fans of high school, college and pro football! Hot dogs and tailgating, great team names like the Fighting Irish and great names like Michael Stonebreaker and Dee Liner! Yep, straight out of TV casting. Fall and football! Yep, summer, we think we're over you already!

Chill recaps the VMAs! Wow, the MTV Video Music Awards had a little of everything! Robin Thicke, Beetlejuice (Google it) wants his suit back! Miley Cyrus, please stop twerking -- in public and elsewhere! Take our poll here and voice your opinion about Miley's show! And boo to those who booed One Direction and their song of the summer award! Stop the hating!

Wacky scholarships: The vote! OK, we asked you earlier this summer to research and submit some of the crazier scholarships that people actually give away for college. And now, after Club teens have found Flavor of the Month (all about ice cream) and schollies for greeting card designers, etc., here's your chance to vote for your friends and the best ideas. Vote now in our d2D Scholarship Search contest!  Central Fla., Cincy and Ft. Worth Clubs are all representing! Cast your vote now!

9/11 remembered with service! Sept. 11, 2001 was one of the most horrific days in American history. But as the memory of the thousands of lives lost on this attack on American soil, the opportunity to honor them and be inspired by them lives on! BGCA now commemorates 9/11 as a Day of Service as part of our Year of Service! Join the millions of American citizens who will serve their communities on 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance. Register your service projects today!Have your advisor go here to learn more!

August winnings! Drumroll please, as our summer of ActiviTEENS comes to an end! Our ActiviTEENS contest is always HOT, so don't miss the last one in the series!
