Even though the end of the summer is upon us, that’s no reason to be upset! A new school year – full of new challenges, new subjects and new friends – waits just around the corner. Myclubmylife.com wants to help YOU tackle the new school year with ease! We teamed up with our friends at AT&T and the lovely and talented Kelly Rowland to throw a back-to-school rally – BGCA style!

Last week, hundreds of Club members from Madison Square Boys & Girls Club laced up their shoes and made their way to Union Square in New York City. This back-to-school rally kicked off with dancers from the Columbus Clubhouse of Madison Square BGC showing off their skills, and then all the members on site -- led by Rowland, a Grammy award-winning singer, songwriter and actress! -- took this back-to-school pledge:

• I will be on time for classes!
• I will complete all of my homework!
• I will do my very best every day!
• I can graduate from high school!
• I will graduate!

Sound the alarm! It’s time to go back to school!

Club members then raced through an obstacle course, which included jumping out of bed, figuring out which foods to eat for breakfast, packing their bookbag, avoiding obstacles to success, and eventually making their way to the Boys & Girls Club, and then the big prize – high school graduation!
