African-American Exhibit is All American

One of the largest ever exhibits of African-American artifacts and history is in Atlanta for the summer to be seen by hundreds of thousands

The name says it's an African-American history exhibit. But radio/TV host Tavis Smiley says the "America I Am: The African American Imprint" is truly American through and through.

Atlanta is the latest stop for the exhibition of 400 years of African American history. And thanks to the generosity of donors, thousands of Boys & Girls Clubs members are expected to see the exhibit's nearly 300 artifacts, documents and photographs. Over the next four years, "America I Am" will visit 10 other U.S. cities.

Smiley, who helped organize the exhibit, spoke to myclubmylife about the meaning of the exhibit and what teens can learn from it.
