Pull together a great costume for Halloween without spending a bundle

You’re never too old to dress up for Halloween! But you are running out of time. Need help deciding what to be?

Some of the most popular costumes out there this year, according to Forbes.com, are Michael Jackson, Vampires, President Obama, Sarah Palin and Lady Gaga.

Michael Jackson is an easy one. The late singer is a very popular pick after his death this past summer. Pick a favorite album of his and imitate his outfir from that period. If you’re in a time or budget crunch, you can create this costume with things you can find at the thrift store.

  1. White t-shirt
  2. Black suit jacket
  3. Ankle-high, black pants (you can cut a pair off at the ankle, too)
  4. White socks
  5. Black dress shoes
  6. Black fedora hat
  7. One glove (definitely silver if  you can find it)
  8. Black eye-liner

Want to be the President?  All you need is 2 items:

  1. Dark dress suit from the thrift store
  2. Obama mask

Don’t forget the old stand-bys like a cat, ghost, superheroes, witches and devils.

Whatever costume you pick, have fun and be safe.
